So this story was recommended to me by a friend and I decided to take a chance and see what this new author had to offer.Right off the bat you can tell that this author has a deep love for his characters. The father's devotion and love to his daughter are obvious from page one until the very end of the story. The author is able to show that we are in a fantasy setting but is able to keep the fantasy elements subtle so the reader doesn't feel overwhelmed.
The ending is sad and it is very ironic, but it left me wanting to know what the father did after the story ended. I am very glad I read this story and on top of that the cover looks very cool. It looks like an old leather bound volume and that to me looks awesome!
I highly recommend this to any reader of the fantasy genre and anyone who is looking to find a new indy author. Check it out!
