You can't expect to mess around with time without consequences. I have read books 1 and 2 of the trilogy. Loved both of them and anxiously awaiting the third one. I have to disagree with the one star reviewer. I think this book was even better than the first one The Long Second (The Cole Trilogy, Part 1) Going to be watching for more books by Marshall Buckley. I bought this book because it was the second book and I had read the first, thought the first book sounded interesting but it was so dragged out and useless background information, that i almost fell asleep, but the finally got to the end only to found out there was a part 2 so bought the second book (Broken) again way too much useless background info and the author just seemed to skim over revelent background info. So you don't know how or why the main character can jump in time and what is up with the family, briefly gave childhood story involving his mom, I skipped over alot of pages just too boring, but will probably
buy the 3rd book when it comes out if it is like the other 2 only 2.99, just to find out how the author ends this series and if he can bring somebody back who not only died but apparently was cremated, should never kill off main character before the end. and please no more boring background info
The second book it the series went in an unexpected direction. Time travel meets Karma. I'm ready for the final book.
I too totally disagree with the 1 star review on here. The 1st book, The Long Second, took me a while to get into but that is nothing to do with the book itself, that is the way I read. Sometimes I can have 4 or 5 books on my part read. Once I really got going with this story, I couldn't read it fast enough and I loved this book even more than the first one. Really can't wait for the sequel to come out to see what happens next. As for the 1 star review, it is not good to give away the main part of the story without warning reviewers of a spoiler alert!
